How It All Started
Back in 2012, VAP3 Africa was established as an importer of e-cigarette and vape devices. It wasn’t long, the same year in fact, before it became apparent that there was room in the industry to produce our own range of vape liquids. Many of South Africa’s local juice producers don’t follow any production standards as there is currently no vape juice legislation. VAP3, on the other hand, has been accredited with ISO22716 certification, which includes ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP.

What’s in our vape juice?
Propylene Glycol (PG)
Propylene Glycol better known as PG is one of the main ingredients in e-liquid and vape juices. PG is considered one of the most popular for refills as well as for consumer products. It is a humidifier, and it produces a strong vapor for use in some pharmaceuticals, vape juices and food products.
PG from vape juice is a product that can easily be ingested, brushed onto products and used in vape juices. PG can also work in enhancing flavors and leaving a stronger taste in the back of the throat. PG is much less dense than VG, and it does not pose a health risk to humans.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
Vegetable glycerin is a clear, odorless and sweet-tasting liquid derived from vegetable fats.
VG generally makes up 80 to 90% of vape juice. Many producers substitute this product because it typically delivers bigger, denser clouds of vapor which are popular among users. VG is an entirely non-toxic liquid that colorless and contains no smell.
VG is manufactured without using any oil products. This is an entirely vegetable-based product.
VG is a newer material, and some of the older vaporizers may experience difficulty with their atomizers trying to produce vapor with this vape juice. VG is also an ingredient in many different types of medicines, and it’s had studies published on the long term effects.
Food grade flavorings
The delicious taste that can be found in our VAP3 juice comes from food quality ingredients. The bases of VG or PG don’t have much flavor on their own, but when mixed with a few food grade additives it can be possible to produce a prominent flavor.
Nicotine
Some of our vape liquids (indicated by a MG sign) will contain some form of nicotine. It can often be a flavoring that can satisfy some of the nicotine cravings and without having to use any tobacco leaf. Nicotine can often improve the flavor of a throat hit with e-juice / e-liquid.
Which vape devices can I use with VAP3 liquids?
Mouth To Lung (MTL) E-Cigarettes
MTL e-cigarettes are electronic devices that are inhaled into the mouth where the vapour is collected. This allows the user to enjoy the flavour. As most Vape users are ex-smokers, they’ll be more familiar with the process as it is the same as smoking a cigarette.
Direct Lung (DL) Vape Mod Devices and RDA Tanks
DL is considered to be closer to the normal breathing process, where, rather than letting the smoke linger in your mouth for flavour, it is inhaled directly into the lungs. These are normally recommended for more experienced smokers.
